Panderbear noted in The Great Divergence and The Great Divergence - Part II that for many decades the Republican Party has been unrelentingly anti-labor and pro-capital. Marginalization of labor unions is one of the top three contributors to The Great Divergence, the multi-decade trend toward more lopsided income distribution in the U.S.
